Rosario Parra Burgos

In loving memory of our sweet mother.

Rosario Parra was born in Sinaloa, Mexico on June 18th, 1956 to Jose Parra and Nicolasa Burgos. She moved to Southern California in the 1970s and lived in the San Fernando Valley until the late nineties and moved to the Pacific Northwest in 1997 where she settled and lived in Hillsboro, Oregon for the rest of her life.

Rosario Parra suffered a massive stroke and swelling to the brain on Friday January the 23rd which she was unable to recover from. She tragically died from her injuries on the morning of Sunday January 25th, 2026 at the age of 69.

Rosario Parra was loved by everyone she met and came across. She always had a smile and was always willing to help others. She would light up any room she would enter with her warm and gentle spirit. She was an avid plant lover. She devoted her time in her garden growing roses, which were her favorite. No doubt her name was Rosario.

Rosario was a believer of Christ and relied heavily on her faith. She loved Jesus Christ, her Lord and Savior, and would ensure she reflected that love and extended it to others. We know she's now rejoicing in Heaven with Him.

Rosario was a great mother and an amazing grandmother who loved her grandbabies.

She is survived by her daughters and son: Maria Elena Parra, Maria Guadalupe Ortega, Manuel Parra, Isaura Denmark, Loruhama Salazar and Elizabeth Parra, as well as 14 grandchildren.

She will be remembered and loved until the day we meet again in Heaven.

A public viewing will be held at 10am on Friday, February 20th, 2026 followed by a Celebration of life will be at 11am and a graveside service where she will be laid to rest following the conclusion of the Celebration of life. All events will be held at Fir Lawn Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 1070 W Main Street, Hillsboro OR 97123.
