Norma Eileen Jorgensen

Norma Eileen Jorgensen, long time resident of Gales Creek, Oregon, died peacefully on January 25, 2026, at home in Forest Grove, Oregon.

Norma was born in Aloha, Oregon, on July 6, 1929, to Rudolf and Mildred (Haskins) Klingsporn. She grew up in Aloha, Timber, and Strassel and graduated from Forest Grove High School in 1947. Norma met her husband Carl (Bud) Jorgensen while he was home on leave from the Air Force, aided by some match-making from Carl's sister Shirley. Norma and Carl were married in Denver, Colorado, on March 28, 1953, and celebrated 66 years of marriage prior to Carl's passing in 2019. After Carl completed his military service, they made their home in Scappoose, Aloha, and in 1962 moved to their long-time residence in Gales Creek. In 2019, Norma moved to Forest Grove where she resided with her daughter until settling into Grove Pointe Assisted Living in 2025.

While her girls were growing up, Norma was an active mom, volunteering for many activities at school including Room Mother and Bluebird/Campfire Girls leader. She enjoyed her grandchildren, spending time with her extended family, crossword puzzles, reading, Mountain Dew, and listening to Irish music (especially Irish singer Daniel O'Donnell).

Norma was preceded in death by her husband Carl and brother Robert Klingsporn. She is survived by her daughters Diane Jorgensen, Carol Griffin, and Sharon (Don) Ehly, granddaughter Rachel Ehly, grandsons Josh Longfellow and Justin Ehly, and great-granddaughter Lilly Longfellow, all of Forest Grove, Oregon.

Graveside Services will be held at Fir Lawn Memorial Park on Monday, February 2, 2026.
