He is survived by his Wife Evelyn Schmidt, Brother Gordon Schmidt and his family, Son
Richard Schmidt, Daughter Sherri Bowman,
5 Grand Kids Alan Schmidt, Mary Foster, Rachel Garza, Carissa Bowman, Shane Bowman
and their families including
3 Great Grand Sons Arthur Schmidt, Jedediah Foster and Samuel Foster.
He served 6 years in the Air National Guard.
He graduated from Oregon State College with a degree in Industrial Arts Education.
His main career was designing and building custom homes. He also did remodeling, custom
cabinets and millwork.
His passion and God given talent was woodworking, and after retiring he was able to focus on
woodworking, especially marquetry. He made many beautiful things including cabinets, bedroom sets, cedar chests, tables, and inlays.
Above all, Larry loved God, his wife Evelyn, his family, and his friends, He always sought
Gods will for his life (Proverbs 3:5-6), and he was always patient, loving, honest and faithful
in all he did (1 Corinthians 13). He was a great example of how to be a Godly man, how to
love God, and how to treat other people. His Godly example touched many people.
He actively volunteered and shared his talents with many organizations.
