Constance (Connie) P. Johnson, 92, of Hillsboro, Oregon, peacefully passed away on December 22nd, 2025.
Funeral services to be held from 12:30 - 1:30 PM Thursday January 15th at Fir Lawn Funeral Home in Hillsboro, Oregon.
Connie was born in New Rochelle, NY, to Andrew J. Perry and Doris W. Perry on March 24th, 1933. She graduated from Towson High School in Towson, Maryland in 1951. She then attended Union Memorial Hospital School of Nursing to receive her RN degree. She married her first husband, Donald Duncan, in 1953 and joined him in Tokyo, Japan upon graduating in 1954. Her first job was at Tokyo Army (American) Hospital training young mothers in newborn care. Upon returning to the United States in 1955, she continued working in the nursing field. She took a break from nursing to raise her adopted children, David and Lisa. She traveled extensively to Canada, England, Italy, France, South Africa and Japan.
After separating from her first husband in 1977 she returned to nursing and moved to Oregon where she worked as a paramedical examiner performing exams for life insurance clients. There, she met her true love, Lloyd R. Johnson, and they married in May 1984. Together, they enjoyed camping and traveling around the Northwest. After retiring from nursing in 1984 she volunteered her nursing skills at Tuality Hospital for 20 years.
Connie is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lloyd R. Johnson (2020); children David (2002) and Lisa (2007); parents Andrew Perry and Doris Hester; and sister Barbara Jones.
Connie is survived by stepchildren, Tiana Johnson and Kyle R. Dickson (spouse) of Seattle, Washington; Dan Johnson and Liz Johnson (spouse) of Oakhurst, California; grandchildren Nicholas Baurer, Elizabeth Johnson and Luke Johnson.
Memorials may be given to National Heart Association, Alzheimer's Association, and Veteran's Charities.
The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Connie's friend and caregiver Lisa Nicholson, the Forest Park Hospice team and the staff and caregivers at Rosewood Park Assisted Living.
