Anthony Alan Prouty

Anthony A. "Andy" Prouty, 57, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2026, at OHSU Medical Center, Hillsboro, OR, surrounded by his loved ones.

Andy was born on August 14th, 1969 at Tuality Hospital in Hillsboro, OR to Bob Prouty and Alice Haugen.

Andy was known for his quick wit and full heart, the kind of person who could walk into a room and leave everyone smiling. Above all, he loved his family, and there was nowhere he'd rather be than surrounded by his kids and grandkids.

At just 16 years old, Andy faced a life-altering accident, cutting short his time at Hilhi High High School. After making a full recovery, Andy went back and earned his GED. His working life took him down several roads: driving a tow truck, painting, and eventually settling into 20+ years at Leupold & Stevens, where he built a steady career in quality and maintenance.

Outside of work, Andy was happiest outdoors, fishing, spending time on the water, relaxing at the beach, or riding quads out at Sand Lake. He had a gift for working with his hands, whether he was in the woodshop or under the hood of a car, and he never missed a chance to check out a good car show. A loyal NASCAR fan and devoted Green Bay Packers supporter.

Andy is survived by his spouse of 29 years, Kristy Prouty; his children, Cody Orme, Robbie Prouty, Brittany Lebrun, and Logan Prouty; his grandchildren, Everly Lebrun, Jolynn Orme, Hudson Lebrun, and Beau Orme; his father, Bob Prouty and stepmom Linda Prouty; and his siblings, Heather LaBonte, Jaime Parsons, Steve Grossaint and Justin Prouty.

Andy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His humor, hugs, stubbornness, and big heart will live on in the memories he leaves behind. There will never be another quite like him.

Celebration Of Life

Saturday, November 7th at 1pm

All who knew Andy and would like to celebrate his life are welcome to attend.

This will be a casual celebration.

In true Andy fashion, skip the formal attire and wear "Funny Shirts" to help us celebrate his sense of humor and the laughter he brought to those around him.
