Dale E. Tyson
July 1, 1931 — August 9, 2021
Dale E Tyson, 90, of Hillsboro Oregon passed away on August 9, 2021 from prostate cancer. He was born July 1, 1931 in Hillsboro to the late Alfred and Georgena (Sticka) Tyson.
He attended Forest Dale Grade School in Scoggins Valley and after the family moved to Hillsboro, Hillsboro High School. He graduated in 1949.
He married Jo Anne Knox Nov. 24, 1951. They spent their first four years at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio where Dale was stationed. They returned to Hillsboro in 1955.
Dale worked in computer systems at Tektronix for 30 years. He saw the development of computers from room size to desktop.
After retirement Dale and Jo Anne traveled and enjoyed their family. Dale especially liked spending time at the Nedonna Beach house. The birthday/4th of July parties, fishing, crabbing and all beach activities.
Dale is preceded in death by his parents, son Steven, brother Jim, and brothers-in-law Arthur White, Jerry Knox and Owen Knox.
He is survived by his loving wife Jo Anne, two children and their spouses, Connie and Ken Knepper of Tualatin and Roger and Judy Tyson of Hillsboro, six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren, his sister Donna White of Mesa AZ. and sisters-in-law, Janis Knox, Diane Knox, and Marilyn Goodrich and Patti Tyson.
Dale was a kind, generous, loving man and will be ever in our thoughts.
